SHARE is Helping Youth Make Choices That Lead to Life

Through SHARE, CPCI, a non-profit medical clinic, is confronting the “hook up” culture at its roots: in middle schools, high school, and on college campuses. Since 2014, CPCI has partnered with nationally renowned, pro-abstinence speaker Pam Stenzel to reach at-risk youth and young adults, along with their parents, teachers, and youth group leaders. At churches, schools, camps, and conferences SHARE is redefining “safe sex” as NO sex outside of marriage.

Pam Stenzel tackles today’s tough issues of sex with candor, insight, humor, and the challenge for young people to get the abstinence advantage. With her no-nonsense, straight-talking style, she lays out all the possible consequences of premature sexual choices and tells students about another way with compassion and encouragement. It’s been her experience that if given the facts, today’s young people are fully capable of making good, healthy decisions. By offering SHARE courses and talks and addressing the root causes of abortion, CPCI is one of the best pro-life organizations to donate to.

Tearing through society’s critical views of pregnancy and abstinence before marriage, Stenzel encouraged the student body to become the leaders who can reverse this culture of death and bring about a new culture of life.

“Are you going to listen to the culture and just ignore abstinence before marriage? This is not a culture of faithfulness — sexual discipline and integrity is learned, and it is not learned after you walk the aisle, but before,” said Stenzel. “This matters. In a culture that says this doesn’t matter, the end result of sex without boundaries is disease, infertility, broken marriages, infidelity, and the death of literally millions in the womb. You have to choose between right choices that lead to life, or following the culture and temporary feelings, which often leads to death.”

Stenzel, who is regarded as one of the country’s most-established lecturers on chastity, spoke with candor and insight about today’s culture and its rejection of Christian teachings on abstinence before marriage. She begins her presentations by stating that after years of working in pregnancy help clinics, she grew weary of hearing from the clients “nobody told me”.  She realized that so many young women and even young men were making choices about sex without having all of the information they needed.  It is unfair that they were making such impactful decisions, not understanding all of the consequences both short and long term.  Pam always reminds students that she is not there to make choices for them, she just never wants them to have to say “Nobody Told Me” again.

Pam’s open and honest approach not only encourages healthy sexual behavior, but also a strong relationship with God.

“If your relationship between you and Jesus is right, all of your relationships will be right as well. I hope you will give this message — it is so important that our culture sees and hears this, because if we’re going to produce families and generations of people that will respect life it begins right here, at this level, today. I believe out of this room will come the people who can change this world — I believe this is the place that is going to do it. This generation is the last one that has a shot at changing our culture, and the evil one knows this…you must rely on Christ, not just talk about holiness but also truly live it…if you do that, you will change the world,” concluded Stenzel.

Stenzel is the founder of Enlighten Communications, Inc., and is the author of the internationally used public school curricula “Abstinence by Choice” and “Building Healthy Relationships.” Winner of multiple awards for her videos on chastity, Stenzel speaks to over 300,000 people every year, and is a frequent guest on Fox News and ABC.
