CPCI’s 2022 LifeSaver Event

As the premiere pregnancy resource center in Southwest Florida, Community Pregnancy Clinics has gained the reputation as the the best pro-life organization to donate to. Our annual Life Saver Event celebrates our clinics’ success that is only possible through the incredible support of our donors. On March 25, 2022, 600 avid supporters gathered to hear from keynote speaker Former Secretary of State, Michael R. Pompeo and celebrate the 1,470 lives saved from abortion at CPCI during 2021. Pompeo was the first openly pro-life Secretary of State since the passing of Roe v. Wade, and was a staunch champion for the unborn during his time in public office.

VIP guests were treated to a private Q+A segment with Secretary Pompeo as well as an exclusive photo opportunity with the speaker. All guests enjoyed a lavish reception of hors d’oeurves and drinks, while having the opportunity to mingle with fellow supporters as well as the CPCI Board and staff. Additional honored guests included some of CPCI’s own heroic clients- mothers who had chosen life after receiving services at CPCI. They also brought their beautiful babies with them to the delight of the attendees.

In his address during the evening’s main program, CEO Scott Baier rallied the audience by saying, “The time for hope has never been greater. Thank you for speaking and acting with us in this momentous effort at this critical time in our nation’s history.” This statement captures the excitement of the evening. With the potential opportunity of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade on the horizon, the momentum of the pro-life movement in the United States is gaining ground like never before.

After an introduction from CPCI’s Advisory Board member, Mr. Steven Mosher of the Population Research Institute introduced Secretary Pompeo to the stage for his keynote address. His remarks reminded the audience of the quintessential fact that, “…upholding the value of human life is essential to each of us – individually, in our communities, in our states, and in our nation.” While there are many critical issues currently confronting our nation, there is none more fundamental than that of abortion. One of the themes Secretary Pompeo focused on was that not only must we be a country of strength and courage, but also of virtue in order to combat the evils of our time. He said, “By engaging in virtuous action, guided by faith, we can recover that which matters most in America and overcome the challenges which lie ahead.  And ultimately, it is through God’s grace that we will have the resolve and the wisdom to do this.” His words reminded listeners that even if Roe is overturned, CPCI’s free STI testing, pregnancy testing, and ultrasounds will be needed in Florida more than ever before as women in crisis will be coming to pregnancy help centers rather than abortion clinics. This is the day that we collectively long for: when the answer to a crisis pregnancy becomes love and hope rather than abortion. The time has come when we must come together as a nation and say that the time has come to end the abortion industry’s war on women.

This evening of celebration is our non-profit medical clinic‘s largest fundraiser of the year, raising over $450,000 to continue providing mothers and families in need with free medical services throughout Florida. Did you know that any donor contributing $720 or more to CPCI annually is a “Life Saver” and is guaranteed two complimentary tickets to the annual Life Saver Event?
